Didube lies north of the center along the Mtkvari River. It grew as a working district in the Soviet era, and today it is one of the best-connected parts of Tbilisi, with metro stations, major roads and the Didube bus station, where buses and minibuses leave for every region of Georgia.
Tsereteli Avenue runs through the district with shops, markets and services. The Didube Pantheon, the resting place of many Georgian writers and public figures, gives the area a quiet historic corner.
Didube suits buyers who want a lower price per square meter and an easy commute, and investors renting to students and workers. New residential buildings are steadily replacing old industrial sites.
